| Are you Pro or Anti Gun Rights? |
The answer to gun violence is not to ban guns, but to issue strict punishments to those who use guns to assault other citizens.
I am a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment of our Federal Constitution as well as Article I, Section 25 of the Wisconsin State Constitution. Both of these documents allow private citizens the right to own, carry and even conceal carry firearms. It is every responsible Citizen’s Constitutional right to posses a firearm for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose. Anti-gun activists, lobbyists and organizations believe that taking guns from law abiding citizens will magically rid our society of gun violence. Unfortunately, the only people left with guns will be criminals who already show disregard for laws and human rights. Having trained law abiding citizens armed is a proven method to decrease violent crime. Criminals are cowards and only attack the weak. If concealed carry is more common, criminals will never know what citizen is truly weak. This deterring factor alone will prompt criminals to migrate elsewhere. Return to Issues Page >> | |
